Turkish wrestler Akgül grabs gold at European Wrestling Championships

Turkish wrestler Taha Akgül secured a gold decoration on Wednesday at the European Wrestling Championships, in the men's 125-kg free-form last.

Akgül, the Turkish national group's chief, took to the tangle for his seventh gold award at the competition, beating Georgian Geno Petriashvili in Bucharest, Romania.

The wrestler, who is contending in the free-form 125-kilogram classification, holds the record for most European titles among Turkish wrestler.
